DARK & MOODY BLACK KITCHEN IN WOKINGHAM

We wanted to kick off the new year with a kitchen project close to home – designed for and by our very own Director John Lindsey.
At Audus Kitchens, we’ve worked on numerous dark-coloured kitchens these past few years, and it inspired John to go over to ‘the dark side’ himself.
He opted for a handleless kitchen in an on-trend matte black with an easy-touch, anti-print finish. With a heavy workload and two young kids ruling the roost, everything needed to be low maintenance and easy to keep clean!
For the appliances, he chose Siemens integrated black options, a black Quooker tap, and a Bora hob that kept the space’s fluidity. They are all brands we use all the time, so we know they’re high quality and reliable.
In any kitchen, lighting is hugely important. It’s one element that’s not that easy to change down the line, so you want to nail it at the design stage. He used LED lights inside the units that illuminate automatically when the cupboards are opened. They were used under the wall units too, whic was a very popular 2021 trend - perfect not only as task lighting, but also to create ambience in the evening.
The space was completed with bronze mirror splashbacks to add a touch of extra luxury.
