Get the Look: Contemporary Black Kitchen

In our recent project, we opted for a black canvas mixed with white elements to create a contrast. We added thoughtfully selected appliances and features based on the client's specifications, which resulted in a stunning black and white kitchen perfect for entertaining.

Here's how you can recreate this contemporary black kitchen.

Cabinetry

Opt for cabinetry with a modern look and feel — and for this, handleless is best. The Audus Handleless Range comes in various finishes, from light to dark shades. We opted for the graphite black ultra matt finish for this project, creating a moody yet cosy and intimate atmosphere. It's ideal for hosting gatherings or enjoying quiet evenings at home.

Worktops

Choose a white worktop to offset the black cabinetry and bring a visual balance. The stark contrast between the two colours creates a bold and modern aesthetic, while the white surface helps brighten the room. We chose extremely durable quartz worktops in pearl concrete by Algarve Granite, this material adds depth and character to the space with its textured surface.

Appliances and Features

The integrated fridge and Siemens oven add functionality and style while creating a seamless look. Cleverly integrated into the kitchen island, the hob contributes to the streamlined design. These appliances save space and maintain the kitchen's clean and uncluttered look.

Convenience meets style with two stylish sinks from Blanco — one on the counter and one on the island. Adding a modern touch, convenience, and functionality is the black Quooker tap, which delivers both hot and cold water with ease. Its black finish complements the kitchen's aesthetic.

This kitchen also features an integrated drinks cooler and a concealed drinks station, providing a convenient and clutter-free space for preparing cocktails. These features are ideal for hosting gatherings at home.

Finishing Touches

Enhance the design with the right accessories and finishing touches. Opt for black barstools to maintain a cohesive look, which also contributes to the modern aesthetics of the space.  The wicker pendant lights add warmth and a pop of natural colour to the black-and-white space. Finally, add small indoor plants in dainty vases or pots to add a touch of nature and brighten the space.
